Know before you go…
The Treasure Hunt is a short walk along the main tracks crossing the heaths which can be uneven in places.
Dogs are welcome but they are required to be on a lead at all times at Bystock. If the weather is predicted to be hot and sunny it would be advisable to leave your dog at home to prevent the risk of heat stroke.
The meadow area is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs (the pond entrance has rough paths and a boardwalk).
This event is organised as part of Heath Week 2026. Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve. Enjoy walks, talks and activities for all ages and interests many of them free or by donation. Find out more about Heath Week here.
