Heath Week 2026: Bystock Day

Bystock Day
Come and join Devon Wildlife Trust and partners working across the Pebblebed Heaths for a fun filled day of activities celebrating the heaths and the wildlife they support.
Activities will include:
- Moth Trapping
- Pond dipping
- Bug hunting
- Craft activities – badge making, leaf printing, pebble pets, bat crafts
- Beaver challenge

Please note limited parking will be available in the Meadow at Bystock, so please use nearby parking at Fryingpans or Wheathill, where a treasure hunt trail will lead you to the site. The meadow area is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs (the pond entrance has rough paths and a boardwalk).
This event is organised as part of Heath Week 2026. Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve.
