Event Details:
This event is designed as a wildlife watch, rather than a lengthy walk so may suit anyone who might find standing or walking for long periods a challenge. However, in order to get out and back from our heathland vantage point, participants must be prepared for a short and level walk (approx.750m each way).
We will largely be sat at one spot waiting to see what wildlife joins us so please bring a camp chair or similar, plenty of warm layers and insect repellent is advisable.
Please note there are no toilets on the site.
Sorry, no dogs during this event please.
No prior knowledge required.
This event is organised as part of Heath Week 2025. Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths. Enjoy walks, talks and activities for all ages and interests many of them free or by donation. Find out more about Heath Week here.
