Pebblebed Heaths Deaf Wellbeing Walk

Join Engagement Ranger, Savannah Brownlow for a guided walk of the Pebblebed Heaths. Discover the reserve’s seasonal highlights, learn how to traverse open access areas, and explore the diverse wildlife that now calls this remarkable landscape home. Along the way, you’ll be given tips and advice for walking through open access areas like the Pebblebed Heaths, how to remain safe and how to plan your visit well.

This walk is designed for deaf or hard‑of‑hearing adults who use BSL as their first or preferred language, with full BSL interpretation provided during this walk. Carers, family and hearing friends who sign are welcome on this walk.

Location: Four Firs Car Park (W3W:///parrot.brambles.flute)

If you are driving to Four Firs Car Park, please do not use postcodes to navigate to the meeting point – postcodes in countryside locations cover wide areas and are likely to inaccurate, please use google maps or What3Words. Car parking at this location is free.

 

Know before you go…

The walk will last approximately 2.5 hours and will be at a gentle pace following uneven paths with some small and steady inclines. There will be regular stops along the route at viewing areas with benches. This walk is designed to be accessible and enjoyable not challenging.

Please note there are no toilet facilities on site. The nearest facilities and refreshments are based at Budleigh beach or Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club.

Dogs on leads welcome.

Dress for the weather, sturdy footwear recommended.
