Join the Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust and discover how otterly accessible the Otter Estuary is for a wide range of visitors. Meet organisations committed to conservation and responsible access to the countryside, and find out how you can take action for nature and get active in nature with the following organisations:

  • Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trustshowcasing get guts walks, volunteering opportunities, youth rangers, and our NEW women’s workshops and reclaim the night events.
  • Devon Loves Dogs & Pawsitive Canineshowcasing responsible dog ownership, dog training advice and canicross.
  • Budleigh Salterton Lion Club & Plastic Free Budleigh Saltertonshowcasing diabetes awareness and how you can support Plastic Free Budleigh Salterton.
  • Seachangeshowcasing a range of wheelchairs and aids available for hire to allow anyone to access the countryside more easily.

This event is free and no need to book, just come along and join us between at 10:00-14:00 at South Farm Road Car Park.

If you are driving to the Otter Estuary please park in South Farm Road Car Park to minimise road traffic – winter car parking charges apply at £2 for the day. Revenue from the car park is pumped straight back into caring for the Otter Estuary and allows us to continue providing events like this for free.

Please note there are no toilet facilities on site. The nearest facilities and concessions are based at Budleigh beach or Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club.

You’ll have a chance to immerse yourself in invigorating guided walks that take you through the heart of the estuary, enlightening sessions that share captivating tales of the area’s past, and a variety of fun-filled activities suitable for visitors of all ages. What’s even better? All these activities are completely FREE! Don’t miss this chance to explore and appreciate the beauty of the Otter Estuary in a unique and engaging way.
