This much-loved start to Heath Week is back — with a fresh new format and location!
Drop into Model Airfield between 10am and 3pm to join the Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust and a wide range of partners for an action-packed day of engaging activities showcasing what makes the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve such a special place for wildlife and for people.
Meet the teams who look after the East Devon’s heaths and others who work and play here. Learn about the habitats and species that live locally, explore the heaths rich cultural history and how you can get active in nature and play your part in taking care of countryside spaces.

This event is designed as a drop-in event for all ages, no booking required. There will be toilets and limited refreshments available on site but feel free to bring a picnic and stay all day.

Dogs on leads are very welcome and there will be stands and activities for dog owners and their pets.
Toilet facilities and concessions will be available at Model Airfield for this event.
Dress for the weather, sturdy footwear recommended for uneven terrain.
Tramper and pushchair accessible.
This event is organised as part of Heath Week 2025. Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths.
