DESCRIPTION:Otter Estuary Deaf Wellbeing Walk \nJoin Otter Estuary Ranger\, Rick Lockwood and Engagement Ranger\, Savannah Medlicott for a guided walk around the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve. Discover the reserve’s seasonal highlights\, learn about its restoration\, and explore the diverse wildlife that now calls this remarkable landscape home. Along the way\, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the habitat’s transformation and the conservation work helping nature thrive. \nThis walk is designed for deaf or hard‑of‑hearing adults who use BSL as their first or preferred language\, with full BSL interpretation provided during this walk. Carers\, family and hearing friends who sign are welcome on this walk. \nThis walk is led is partnership with Disability Together and their Deaf Wellbeing Service\, if you would like to learn more about other deaf wellbeing services available\, click HERE. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate: Saturday 19th September \nTime: 10:00-12:30 \nLocation: Otter Estuary\, South Farm Road Car Park (W3W:///yummy.energy.tasks) \nIf you are driving to the Otter Estuary\, please park in South Farm Road Car Park to minimise road traffic – car parking charges apply. Revenue from the car park is pumped straight back into caring for the Otter Estuary and allows us to continue providing events like this for free. Blue Badge holders park for free in disabled parking spaces. \n  \nKnow before you go… \nThe walk will last approximately 2.5 hours and will be at a gentle pace following flat paths. There will be regular stops along the route at viewing areas with benches. \nMuch of the reserve is accessible for mobility scooters and for this event we are able to offer the hire of a Tramper. If you wish to find out more about Tramper hire and how to book for this event\, click HERE. \nPlease note there are no toilet facilities on site.
