SUMMARY:Spring Heathland Trail
DESCRIPTION:Follow our NEW self-guided trail around a section of Woodbury Common\, designed by our Ranger Apprentice\, Ned. \nThe trail is accessible from either Four Firs\, Model Airfield or Woodbury Castle car parks and is a circular route of under 2 miles takes between 1-2 hours to walk. Even if you have visited the heaths for years there is always something to learn about this special landscape. \nThe trail will be available until Monday 20th April and it will be out on the heaths all through the Easter holidays\, until Monday 20th April. QR codes are on each of the information boards on site to scan and receive a copy of the map or save a copy of the map below for later to plan your Easter walk. \n  \n \n\nKnow before you go… \nDogs on leads welcome. \nDress for the weather\, sturdy footwear recommended. Learn about the wildlife that uses the estuary and what you can expect to see from month to month. \nFollowing the completion of the Lower Otter Restoration Project\, 55ha of new saltmarsh and mudflat is developing in the estuary. Revenue from the car park is pumped straight back into caring for the Otter Estuary and allows us to continue providing events like this for free. \n  \nKnow before you go… \nThe walk will last approximately 2.5 hours and will be at a gentle pace following flat gravelled paths for around 4km. There will be regular stops along the route at viewing areas with benches. SUMMARY:Seachange: Health And Nature Walk
DESCRIPTION:Health And Nature Walk \nJoin Community Engagement Officer\, Kate Ponting and Apprentice Ranger\, Ned Mills\, for a guided walk across the beautiful Pebblebed scenery for 2 hours\, covering Woodbury Common. We will follow pathways across the heathland but the ground has loose stones underfoot so appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn. Take water and refreshments for a short stop halfway. \nSeachange Health and Nature Walks explore the diverse terrain of our local countryside on these bi-weekly volunteer-led Tuesday walks\, ranging from approx. 3-3.5km in length. This walk is be led by the Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust and organised by Seachange. \nSeachange walks are provided free of charge however Seachange request all participants to register and complete a disclaimer to take responsibility for fitness to take part in these activities and to let Seachange know in advance if you plan on attending a walk. \nFor more information about Seachange click here. \n  \nEvent Details: \n\nDate: Tuesday 14th April 2026\nTime: 10:00-12:00\nLocation: Four Firs Car Park\nW3W: parrot.brambles.flute\n\nPlease wear walking shoes and clothes suitable for the weather including a hat for either sun or cold. Walking experience is not necessary however you need to be fit enough to manage some gradients and sloping areas\, stony or muddy pathways\, and possible stiles.
