With most people having access to a camera or a mobile phone we hope this will make it easy for as many people as possible to take part. Whether you are an experienced amateur or a smart phone snapper, whether your photo captures den-building, sunrises, swimming dogs, a favourite stream or wildlife close up, all contributions will build up the story of this much-loved landscape. We hope as many people as possible will be inspired to share their own images of their heaths.
With this project we want to get an insight into why the heaths are important to the people that choose to spend time here. As well as providing a valuable archive, we will shortlist images that communicate something personal and individual to create an online gallery. A selection of these images will then be used for the final stage of the project in collaboration with a photographer from Falmouth University; bringing images and words together into a series of pieces for an exhibition next year to celebrate the Pebblebed Heaths.
How to take part
This isn’t a typical photography competition and we are not looking for the ‘perfect shot’, rather the sense of place or the moment or feeing it captures.
