Scrub Clearance

  • We are now moving our scrub clearance to the area of the common known as Hawkerland.Grid SY 062895. It is amazing how the self seeding of pine is affecting this area.You can see the progression from the large pines creeping out over the heaths getting smaller and smaller.If we leave these trees we will find that this area will lose its special heathland habitat.If walking this area beware of tractors and chainsaws being used to clear this area.
